Forensic STEM™ is a proposed methodology for the transparent reconstruction of complex human systems from observable evidence.
Rather than beginning with blame or predetermined conclusions, the methodology reconstructs how observed outcomes became possible by systematically examining the interactions between people, roles, relationships, rules, resources, and behaviours.
Forensic STEM™ is expertise-agnostic. It does not require investigators to possess the same knowledge, background, or professional experience. Instead, it provides a structured reconstruction process through which domain experts contribute evidence and interpretation from their own disciplines while working within a common investigative framework.
Although the methodology can be demonstrated using simple examples, the research programme is primarily directed towards complex, high-stakes human systems where multiple organisations, authorities, and stakeholders interact.
As a research programme, Forensic STEM™ remains under active development and welcomes constructive critique, testing, replication, and refinement.
