The Autonomy Literacy Framework is a behavioural model developed within g² Insight Lab for analysing how individuals maintain decision authority within relational systems.
Within the g² Behavioural Systems Methodology, the framework is applied after structural pattern detection and system mapping to examine how influence, pressure, and relational dynamics affect autonomy and behavioural choice.
The framework examines how relational environments generate pressure, produce psychological residue, and shape behavioural responses over time.
Autonomy literacy refers to the capacity to detect these dynamics while maintaining orientation to one’s own identity and decision-making processes.
The framework operates through four analytical capabilities:
Identity Orientation
Understanding one’s internal values, roles, and decision authority.
Pressure Recognition
Identifying social influence, manipulation, conformity pressure, and relational coercion within behavioural environments.
Residue Awareness
Recognising the emotional and psychological imprints left by social interactions which can shape behaviour and identity over time.
Boundary Action
Maintaining decision authority by responding to influence without internalising external pressure.
The Autonomy Literacy Framework examines how individuals navigate influence within relational systems once structural dynamics have been identified.
Through this model it becomes possible to identify:
• pressure dynamics within social environments
• relational residue accumulation
• identity distortion under influence
• boundary failure or boundary strength
• behavioural compliance patterns
The framework provides a structured method for analysing how autonomy is maintained or eroded within interpersonal and systemic contexts.
Within g² Insight Lab, Autonomy Literacy functions as an applied diagnostic framework for analysing how influence, pressure, and relational dynamics interact with individual decision authority.
The model focuses on structural dynamics within relational environments rather than motivational coaching or self-development narratives.
Within the g² Behavioural Systems Methodology, Autonomy Literacy is applied after pattern detection and structural system mapping to evaluate how influence affects individual autonomy.
